Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park with Stopover at Ziwa for Rhino Tracking.
Your first day will involve a transfer from Entebbe to Murchison Falls National Park, with a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino tracking. Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is a private, non-profit organization that is dedicated to protecting and breeding the endangered rhinoceros species. You will have the opportunity to go on a guided walk to track the white rhinos, and learn about their behavior, habitat, and conservation efforts.
After the Rhino tracking, you’ll continue your journey to Murchison Falls National Park, where you will spend the night.
Day 2: Game Drive & Boat Cruise to the Bottom of the Falls.
Your second day will be filled with exciting activities. You will start with a game drive in the morning, where you will have the chance to spot a variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, and many more. The park has over 76 mammal species and 451 bird species to spot.
In the afternoon, you’ll take a boat cruise on the Nile River to the bottom of the falls. You will see hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species, including the rare shoebill stork. As you approach the falls, you’ll feel the mist and hear the roaring sound of the water as it crashes down from a height of 43 meters, creating a spectacular sight.
Day 3: Transfer Back to Entebbe with a Stopover at the Top of the Falls in the Morning.
On your last day, you’ll have a chance to see the falls from the top, and get a different perspective of the park. You will drive to the top of the falls and take in the stunning view of the Nile as it squeezes through a narrow gap and plunges down into the Victoria Nile.
After enjoying the top of the falls, you’ll start your journey back to Entebbe, marking the end of your trip to Murchison Falls National Park.
