Day 1: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park.
Your day begins early with a pick-up from your Kigali hotel. After a 2.5 hour scenic drive, you’ll arrive at Volcanoes National Park and head to the park headquarters for a briefing. Then, you’ll embark on your trek to find the gorilla family, accompanied by your experienced guide.
The trek can take anywhere from 1-4 hours, depending on the location of the gorilla family you’re visiting and the difficulty of the terrain. Once you find the gorilla family, you’ll spend an hour observing and photographing them. It’s a truly unforgettable experience to be in such close proximity to these incredible animals.
