Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe.
Your journey begins with a warm welcome at Entebbe International Airport, where you’ll be met by our knowledgeable guide and transferred to your comfortable Kampala hotel.
Day 2: Mabamba Swamp.
We’ll start the day off with a bang by taking a canoe ride through Mabamba Swamp, a Ramsar Wetland of International Importance on the shores of Lake Victoria. Here, we’ll search for the elusive Shoebill Stork, a bird that’s on every bird watcher’s must-see list.
Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park.
On day three, we’ll depart for Murchison Falls National Park, one of Uganda’s largest and most popular parks. En route, we’ll stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a thrilling rhino tracking experience. In the afternoon, we’ll take a game drive in the park to search for birds such as the Grey-crowned Crane, Abyssinian Ground Hornbill, and Yellow-billed Oxpecker.
Day 4: Game Drive in Murchison Falls National Park.
Today, we’ll spend the day exploring Murchison Falls National Park on a game drive. We’ll visit the Delta Area and search for the rare Shoebill Stork, as well as other bird species such as the African Fish Eagle, Red-throated Bee-eater, and Spotted Morning Thrush.
Day 5: Boat Safari on the Nile.
Get ready for a boat safari on the Nile, where we’ll witness the majestic Murchison Falls up close. Keep an eye out for birds such as the Giant Kingfisher, Goliath Heron, and Pied Kingfisher.
Day 6: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park.
We’ll start the day off with a drive to Kibale Forest National Park, one of the best places in Africa to see primates and forest birds. En route, we’ll stop at the Albertine Rift to see the Great Blue Turaco, Bar-tailed Trogon, and Black Bee-eater.
Day 7: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale Forest.
Today, we’ll embark on a chimpanzee trekking adventure in Kibale Forest. We’ll also search for other bird species such as the Grey Parrot, Olive Long-tailed Cuckoo, and African Emerald Cuckoo.
Day 8: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
After breakfast, we’ll head to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where we’ll take a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel. Keep your binoculars handy for sightings of the African Skimmer, White-winged Tern, and Yellow-billed Stork.
Day 9: Game Drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
We’ll spend the day exploring Queen Elizabeth National Park on a game drive, searching for birds such as the Martial Eagle, White-tailed Lark, and Rufous-naped Lark.
Day 10: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
On day 10, we’ll make our way to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Along the way, we’ll stop at Ishasha Sector to search for the rare African Green Broadbill and other forest birds.
Day 11: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
The highlight of your trip On day 11, we’ll embark on a once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Keep an eye out for forest birds such as the Black-billed Turaco, African Green Broadbill, and Red-throated Alethe.
Day 12: Departure.
On the final day of your tour, we’ll drive back to Entebbe for your departure flight. If time allows, we can make a stop at the Uganda Equator for a photo opportunity.
