The journey takes about 2.5 hours, and you’ll enjoy scenic views of the rolling hills and rural countryside that Rwanda is famous for along the way.
Once you arrive at your lodge, you’ll check in and have some time to rest and acclimate to the altitude. In the evening, you’ll meet your guide for a welcome dinner and briefing. Your guide will give you an overview of the next few days’ activities and answer any questions you may have.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park.

The trek can take anywhere from 1-4 hours, depending on the location of the gorilla family you’re visiting and the difficulty of the terrain. Your experienced guide will lead you through the forest and provide information about the gorillas and their behavior.
Once you find the gorilla family, you’ll spend an hour observing and photographing them. It’s a truly unforgettable experience to be in such close proximity to these incredible animals.
