Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe.
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by our professional driver guide who will transfer you to your hotel in Kampala for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park.
After breakfast, we will depart for Murchison Falls National Park, located in the northern part of Uganda. Along the way, we will make a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a walking safari to see the endangered rhinos. We will then proceed to the park for an evening game drive before returning to our lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Game Drive and Boat Safari.
Today we will have a morning game drive to see the park’s wildlife, including lions, leopards, giraffes, elephants, and buffaloes. In the afternoon, we will take a boat safari on the Nile River to the base of the Murchison Falls, where the Nile forces its way through a narrow gorge before plunging 43 meters below. Overnight at our lodge.
Day 4: Kibale National Park.
After breakfast, we will drive to Kibale National Park, the primate capital of East Africa. Upon arrival, we will take a guided nature walk in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary to see various bird species and primates such as black and white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and grey-cheeked mangabeys. Dinner and overnight at our lodge.
Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking.
Today we will go chimpanzee trekking in the forest of Kibale National Park. Along the way, we will encounter other primates such as baboons, red colobus, and blue monkeys. In the afternoon, we will visit a nearby community to learn about their culture and way of life. Dinner and overnight at our lodge.
Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park.
After breakfast, we will depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve known for its diverse wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, hippos, and crocodiles. In the afternoon, we will take a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake George and Lake Edward, and offers an opportunity to see a large concentration of hippos and birds. Dinner and overnight at our lodge.
Day 7: Game Drive in Ishasha.
Today we will have an early morning game drive in Ishasha, the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions. We will then proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, the home of the endangered mountain gorillas. Dinner and overnight at our lodge.
Day 8: Gorilla Trekking.
Today is the highlight of our safari, as we go gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. After a briefing by the park rangers, we will hike through the forest to find the gorillas. Once we locate them, we will spend an hour in their presence, observing and taking photos. Dinner and overnight at our lodge.
Day 9: Departure.
After breakfast, we will drive back to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
